New desktop UI genuinely makes me sick

The newest desktop UI makes me feel kinda sick. I have talked with others who have said the same thing, and I feel it is very anti-user for discord to make such a huge, irreversible change to the UI, without any warning. I was also not a fan of the new mobile UI when it first came out, but at least that one had a good heads-up about it. With this, I learn about it, close my computer for a bit, and then its applied itself. I am aware that I can change the color settings back to match more closely the old colors with the ash theme, but the layout is what makes me the most uncomfortable. I would greatly appreciate if there was at least the option to switch the UI style, as this would be much more user-friendly and be more flexible towards the needs of individual users.
