The new UI

Hi Discord. I've finally made an account on this support website following the latest UI change, since I can see no other option to give feedback.

For years, I've paid my nitro sub, been happy using discord, encouraged others to use discord. 

I grit my teeth and said nothing beyond a bad review on Google when the mobile UI was changed. But this change to the desktop UI is the last straw. Not only does it look ugly, I've had massive lags opening my folders to access servers. You've changed many things that weren't even broken or in need of fixing, adding things nobody asked for, like the server name bar at the top. Did you even ask users before rolling this out? I don't think so, because the general consensus seems to be “I hate it”.

I just cancelled my nitro sub, and I encourage everyone else complaining about this to do the same. They will only listen if this change starts costing them money. I will not resub to nitro until this is fixed. That can be by offering the option to switch back to the old UI, or by rolling back this change entirely, I don't particularly care how its fixed, as long as something is done. Many users have offered feedback on this topic, and I would recommend you listen for once, because the recent changes have not been enjoyed at all. Your recent changes will start to cost you users eventually, users who were happy to pay for the features included in nitro.

This is all I have to say, since I know nobody at discord cares anymore. I've been using it since 2016, but maybe its time for me and others to move on. Moving all my friend groups, gaming chats, etc to another platform will hurt, but at this point I've given up hope on discord staff ever listening to its users again. The fact that there was no link of any kind in the app for me to cancel my subs says it all. I had to go into my emails to find a link to unsubscribe from nitro. Really, discord?? 

Actually quick update: now discord won't even open anymore. So much for “improved functionality”. Thanks. Really.
