I doubt that discord will add a feature which adds a reaction to every single message. You can already add reactions if you have the `Add_reactions` permission so there's nothing stopping you from adding a 👍 reaction to a message -2 -
Have you guys never used Messenger or Skype or any other messaging program? It tells you when the person you're talking to has seen/read your message.
Having this in Discord would be very helpful.3 -

Yet another t e r r i b l e idea. This is one of the main reasons I am using Discord.

Personal opinion, this is a pretty bad idea (no hate intended). There's a lot of people that message me and I don't want to talk to them. Leaving them on read/seen would probably only anger/upset them causing them to (probably) spam me till I respond. If they did add this, at least have an option to toggle it.

I agree with then value of having a 'read/seen' indicator. The objections can be easily dealt with. The function could be optional - something that two people could agree to turn on in direct messaging betyween themselves.
