Ability to disable in-line emoji button

On iOS, there was a recent addition of an in-line emoji button, similar to the one on desktop. I don’t particularly care to use emoji myself, and I don’t like seeing it. On iOS, It’s also gotten to be rather annoying to have it right next to the attachments button.

Adding a simple option in the configuration to turn this in line button off entirely, for both mobile and desktop, would be appreciated.

    This has been there for ages on Android, and I hate it.  I have never used an emoji, and there's a really good chance I never will.  Yet, this button sits right next to the send button and gets in my way frequently.  Please let me turn off this button that I will never use.  Bloat like this is the reason I uninstalled Skype.

    I just started getting this too. The setting to disable it in Settings > Text & Images is missing for me on both Desktop and Mobile.
