If multiple files are uploaded, give an option (or make it mandatory) that they're bunched into one message, like a grouping or an "album" of sorts.

    Only optional, please, with a togglable on/off in the settings.

    Meanwhile, how will it look like then?
     - Have an option to make the preview thumbnails either fill or fit the boundary of each thumbnail.
     - (more of for Desktop Discord) Please allow the gallery to occupy the horizontal space that preview thumbnails usually don't fill.

    Yep, that's what I was thinking. Horizontal space. A lot of people hate seeing chat be flooded vertically by multiple postings of images (especially images) and so a horizontal gallery type UI will be wonderful. I think implementing it won't be too much of a challenge and people will still have the option (obviously) to make separate image posts if they so desire. But if you choose to upload multiple files, that grouping would be awesome.

    Optional would be nice. Instead of having lots of spam we could keep a pile of pictures together like from a wedding or some sort of event.

    Another idea would be to auto-create a slideshow embed with all the uploaded images.

    Great idea, one addition would be for it to support twitter since discord shows the first image on the tweet and it would be cool to see multiple images.

    This is the best idea ever and I hope it is implemented. I'm an artist and I post lots of pics at once very often and being able to upload them as an album (similar to how it is done when you upload multiple images in Telegram) it would be IMMENSELY helpful. Such a pain to upload multiple images and have them be out of order and obliterating the vertical space of the chat.

    This is a good idea because if you want to send different pictures and don't want to spam the chat with your pictures this would work!

    This would be particularly useful for our memes channel, and would allow us to post dumps instead of flooding a channel (and sending 10+ notifications) with single-image posts.

    Ideally, a horizontal layout of thumbnails scaled to the same as what single images are, but limited to show something like the first four or five.

    Please? I have had to create multiple servers to manage photos because people didn't want to scroll but wanted to be able to find all the photos related to our research.
    I am also using Google photos.
    I just want a Gallery in Discord
