Testing mic in the settings

In voice relay programs such as Mumble, Teamspeak, or Ventrilo, you have the ability to test the volume and quality of your mic while still working in the settings so that you don't have to blast your fellows while adjusting a new mic or fixing the settings on a new computer, or when you first install the program. The activation bar, while helpful for knowing if the mic is working at all, is lacking for any details of the volume or quality.

    Hi,

    I know this feature is now implemented, however it is less useful than it could be. Currently, when you enable mic testing, the sound from the mic is played back continuously, regardless of whether the volume is above the activation level or not. A checkbox or something could be added to the test to play back exactly what others would here with the current settings.
