Use Google Safe Browsing to scan sent links
The Google Safe Browsing API should be used to scan links in any text chat. I was recently sent a link to a known scam site "steamspecial.org", and Discord embeds the site with the site's title and description without any indicator that the site is not safe. Google Safe Browsing is a public API that can alert the user before they even click on a link that the site is malicious in nature.
There already are options for privacy in direct messages and server messages. The options below for direct messaging could also be used to force scanning for malicious links.
Even with "Don't scan anything", there should still be a way to notify the user if the link is malicious, maybe like this
edit: if this is implemented, please do not go Steam's route of just deleting the message. always keep the message there in some way, like how you keep messages from blocked users a click away.
