How do I disable the connection screen after Discord loses internet connection?

When I'm using Discord, sometimes my wifi will stop functioning, and Discord will begin using a 'connecting' screen. I'd like to be able to disable this, as (even though I can't message anyone offline) there are still things I've put on Discord I'd like to be able to read that have already been loaded before my internet cut out. Is there any way to disable this 'connecting' screen so that I can view whatever has already been loaded on Discord offline, similar to how the mobile version just puts 'connecting' at the top of a server/DM feed?
