Discord is so close to parity with Xbox Live/PSN, including the store, so why not give the client full controller support?
From the chat overlay, to the game store, to in-game chat, 3rd party game launcher, friends list, etc. Discord is very closely approaching feature parity with entire console ecosystems. I think one thing that could bring Discord that much closer to bringing PC into the living room would be controller support. Image, pressing the guide button opens the Discord Home, the Overlay is on by default, and you can join voice lobbies, make calls, enter chat rooms, all with your PS4/Xbox controller.

The thing is, consoles themselves can't use Discord. It's not an application offered to be downloaded.

This itself is the main problem.... there is nothing preventing Discord developers from creating a UWP client! Instead, people are simply saying what is or is not. Glaringly obvious statements about how things are with no suggestions for improvement is not only a waste of time, but quite simply... rude. Either be a voice of improvement or don't bother.
