the thing is, they removed the button manually. its the default in chromium. a really bad thing about discord. it wouldnt be that hard

I mean, don't we have drag and drop already ? It's actually 200% way easier on the windows app

Drag and drop onto your meme folder and boom there you have it

Yeah this 100% needs to be implemented. The phone app alreaady allows you to download straight from the app. Most modern browsers also support Right Click -> Copy Image so there is no reason this shouldnt be a thing.

Also missing this feature after switching from browser to desktop client, it would be quite handy to omit the "open link in browser to copy" step.

This should be implemented. It would support it, because discord uses chromium.

This is such a basic feature. I keep forgetting Discord doesn't have it every time I want to forward an image somewhere.

To easily download an image in the desktop app or in browser, you just hold down Alt and click on 'Open original'

Nope, not what I meant, that is a workaround.

I did not comment on your post, I commented on the original

I agree with this idea. The same actions, namely “loading” by clicking, would be the same for any files, and not open the link in the browser.

Really starting to wonder why this hasn't been implemented -- this is basic UI functionality as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, they have a save/copy image preview but not for original, they force you to open the browser. which can be quite the hassle if you are trying to save multiple images.

Does it have to be manually scanned into a file.
