I agree, this is a completely pointless and unnecessary change.  If someone wants to move around to different text channels or what have you they can just simply move their mouse a whole two inches and change it. . .

this is an infuriating feature in chrome, especially since you can't turn it off there either. now it's in discord too apparently.

Agreed, this offers no user experience benefit.  Only frustration.

Who asked for this? Quite frustrating being pushed back to the previous Discord channel every time you use Push-To-Talk (when Discord is the active screen).

Please either pull this "feature", "enhancement" out or allow us to disable it.

    Much thanks,

    quick

I submitted a bug report as well, to hopefully speed up things.

...and just got this back: "If you're currently having an issue with this latest Discord client update, sadly, our team recently pushed out a bug in the latest update and is actively working on investigating and resolving this issue! I sadly don't have an exact ETA for when this issue will be fully resolved."

I'm so glad they are fixing this.  For everybody else who need a temporary fix, just rebind your mouse button to another key for now.  I'm using "Scroll Lock".  It's annoying that I can't use page back in chrome, but it will do for now.

This issue was finally fixed for me today after an update, thankfully.

Very good information for all of you folks - I can confirm that this issue was fixed in today's update - as Kirch mentioned above.
No more annoying "go back" option by pressing Mouse Button 4.

    Case solved :)

Looks like they fixed this issue. However... I liked it the way it was as Im in 99 discord servers and being able to quickly toggle between two using back and forward is really useful.

Can we get an option to toggle enable/disable it pretty please?

    :)

There is already official hotkey support for that.

I think this actually got disabled, can you create an option to bring it back? I used it all the time. You could add it to the keybind menu.

I can understand many found that annoying, but personally I used it often. It was really intuitive as that is how I often navigate on the explorer / web explorer..

When Discord is my active Windows I have a "TEMPO" on my mouse button 4 and 5. Short press output their default button, long press output "Navigate Between Unread Channels", either up or down. Really great to check a lot of Discord channels - Servers quickly. Sometime I do it a bit too quickly 😫 and would like to come back to previews channel, but I can't get that anymore. 😔

Hi, I know i'm super duper late to gives a solution to this issue. But, I think I have found a way to fix this issue.

    1- You need a software called X-Mouse button control(I'm currently using v2.19.2).

2-  Add discord.exe to the "Application / Window Profiles".

3- On the "Mouse Button 4" or "Mouse Button 5" (Based on your preference for Push-To-Talk Button, but in this case I choose "Mouse Button 4") option, choose "Simulated Keys: (undefined)" and type in the blank box {-}. Click "Ok" and then "Apply".

4- Now go to Discord, go to app setting and choose Keybinds. Now click "Add a Keybind" and set as follows :

Action    : Push to Talk (Normal)
Keybind :  -               (Note: This is a minus key).

5- Go to "Voice & Video" setting. Set the "Shortcut" keybind with "Mouse 3".

    Note:
-Mouse 3 in discord is equal to Mouse Button 4 in X-Mouse Button Control Software. And Mouse 4 in discord is equal to Mouse Button 5 in X-Mouse Button Control Software.
-You can replace the minus key(-) with any keybind you prefer.

    I'm currently on discord releases 113194 .

    Hope this helps =)

Np for being late, only half the people in here died of old age and the others already figured it out years ago.
