Pop-out window for video calls not appearing

I do video calls almost every day, but about two days ago the pop out window that shows the other person's video feed in the small window you can drag around the screen had stopped appearing. I dont see a setting or option to disable or enable it anywhere or any possible reason it couldve stopped appearing. If anyone knows why it stopped showing up or how to get it back, please tell me. Thanks
