Change Skype Connection

I was using Discord canary on mac and when I was trying to connect my Skype, Discord kept saying that the app wasn't open or there were no new accounts detected. I suggest doing something else to integrate / connect your Skype account, like this

Integrate by using a URL system, like YT, Twitch, etc.

    Though my Skype is running, when I attempt to connect Discord to Skype, I get the same message, " Either the app is not running on this computer or no new accounts were detected. kthx"

    Is there a workaround?  Would someone please respond?
