No way to mute notification sounds
I have just upgraded to a Pixel 3 and the settings do not have an option to stop sounds and/or vibrations from notifications.
This functionality should be added into Discord itself, instead of relying on companies like Google to fix their settings.
All I want is under notifications for there to be a "Notifications make sounds" and "Notifications vibrate" options to turn on or off.

I also have a Pixel device running Android 9 and am lacking the ability to control the type of notification that I receive (sound/vibration).

For Androids you can goto the App notification settings under the Android system setting "Apps". Click Discord, then select notifications and you can set "no sound" for the entire app all the time regardless of the in-app settings.
