Everquest II and the Overlay

Could you guys fix the overlay when playing Everquest II by Daybreak Games? I understand it's an older game and not as actively played as WoW and some of the other MMOs but I dearly love the game and would like to be able to talk to my boyfriend and friends without having to alt + tab out.
