Sending voice messages in DM

Note to devs / moderators: Can you please read and understand this post carefully before deciding how you action it. There has already a host of mistakes made on your part with respect to the following feature request / suggestion and I'd like to add some clarity & re-add a feature request that has been accidently closed across all fronts.

The feature that's being asked here is different. One is asking for the ability to send voice messages in DM's similar to whatsapp, the other is asking for the ability to record server channels. 

With regards to this thread, please dedicate A SINGLE THREAD who's feature request is specifically asking for direct voice messaging as described below and delete/hide/merge all other closed threads to avoid further confusion. 

This thread is a duplicate but since there are no open threads due to misunderstanding I'm creating another one. 

To be perfectly clear. The feature that's being requested here works like this:

1 - You go to friends / direct messaging section of discord

2 - You hold down / toggle a record button

3 - Once you've said what you need, it automatically sends the file as a voice message

Further clarification:

This has got nothing to do with server / channel based voice chat and I can't think of a reason why this feature would be useful in this design.

This has got everything to do with Direct Messaging / peer to peer messages

Final note:

More and more people are using discord on their phones which is why I think this suggestion has merit and would serve to keep discord current against its "competitors"
