Opening emoji tab lags my phone

When using nitro, or with the new thing where you see all your emoji but you can't use them without nitro, opening the emoji tab lags my phone a ton. It varies from freezing for a second or two, or crashing the discord app altogether. I'm not the only one who runs into this issue, I've had other people talk about it.
Could this be fixed? I wish I could use the emoji tab without worrying if it'll crash my phone.

It seems to have been removed in the latest Android Alpha update 2
