New message notifications showing system tray on while connected to a voice chat

I don't have Discord window up all the time an I'm usually connected to a voice chat with my friends. I'm also in another server and frequently chat with members there on text, but keep it muted from new message sounds as there is many people chatting. I need to open the Discord window to see if they sent a new message or not as I can't see it from the system tray icon as while connected to a voice chat, new message notification doesn't show up.

It would be nice to see the visual text notification while connected to a voice channel.
