Google Apps | Integrations

Why?

Most of us use Google Docs, or Slides. But don't you ever want to be able to share the link and be able to edit it within Discord instead of opening a new tab? Not only will it boost productivity and collaborating but also fill in the gap of these apps not having a proper chat.

How?

So when you send a message with a Google Doc link, you get an embed whichh looks simular to the Listen along embed for Spotify, except editted to include a button called edit and something along the lines of "Bob invites you to edit <google doc/side/etc name here>, where then you get a pop up to sign in, then just as if you clicked a message, but instead there is the Google Doc/Slide/etc! As well as along side it the channel chat mainstreamed, so that way you can talk with your team while you work on whatever. Cool, right?

Suggestions? Concerns? Feedback?

Hi Phoenix,

Interesting idea, does this make the viewer/editor of the google files linked ONLY to the user that have discord ID (the one the file posted in)?

If it is, then it would be great.

Right now, we got people sharing the files far too wide, even outside our discord server. and we would like to limit that to only the people within our discord server.

Hey onethesigma,

I am sorry for the lack of specification, but that is exactly the kind of sharing I am talking about. I also find myself agreeing with your statement in regard to mass file sharing.
