Maximize button does not change shape
On desktop (Windows), the maximize button does not change to two squares as is standard on windows apps to indicate that the window is already maxed and the button is now a window button.
Not a huge problem, but I end up double pressing the button because I think the window isn't maxed when it already is.

I double this. It's kinda frustrating not knowing exactly whether your window is maximized or not.
It should be an easy fix, eh, Discord?

It's January 2022 now. How has this not been fixed in 3 years? It honestly makes me uncomfortable on a daily basis to see the single square when it's maximized. I know this isn't the most pressing matter, but gosh darn it bothers the heck out of me.

Ugh, yeah, been bothering my every day for years, so much wasted time and mental effort from such a little button showing the wrong icon -_-.

Totally agree! It's those small inconsistencies that can throw off your workflow. Windows conventions have trained us to expect that visual cue when maximizing. Hopefully, the Discord team can tweak this – it seems like a relatively easy quality-of-life fix. Maxim always has an eye for these user interface details, maybe tagging them will help get this on their radar
