When someone sends me a message for the first time, no DATE is shown.

I don't religiously read Discord every day. It's not my job to be checking for new messages.
Sometimes I see I have old chats where someone sent me a single direct message, and the only info I have about it is a timestamp but no datestamp.
I can't find any way to get Discord to show me the date of the message. When I try to get more info, Discord says we don't share mutual servers, and I can't respond to them. What is going on...
