Ability to lock your server

what I mean by this is locking your server from future members who may want to join let's say you're going to bed and afraid of getting midnight raided. You'll set a lockdown from anyone joining for either 7 hours or you'll lock it permanently until you feel like unlocking it again.

    Agreed. It's nightmare of all server owners, so, I am gonna upvote as well and I want to see this update on Discord.

    While this is kind of already doable via permissions (for example, you could just restrict the "everyone" role from sending messages), this would be a nice moderation feature. Maybe an extension of slow mode, where you can check box under it if you want to simply "freeze" the channel.

    Wouldn't that be easy to do by disabling the ability to send messages for everyone?

    Not sure why you give anyone permission to create invites. I’d rather opt for a single invite link that is permanently available. And when needed delete that link and no one should be able to join.

    Give your trusted users the rank of "trusted" and let them write on channels, write at @everone. Someone new joins the server without this "trusted" rank and cannot do anything until they gets the rank.

    It would be nice to have a Button that just allows your server to go into a sort of "Martial Law"

    But only for power hungry people like myself :3

    It would be nice if Discord added a command called "lockserver" that puts the x on "Send Messages" and "Create Invite". It'll be perfect during a raid so that any raiders won't be able to message or send invites to other raiders.
