Supress @everyone and @here is not working

I am in a rather large Discord server and I have disabled @everyone and @here as most of the pings are annoying, lately with the June 4th update supressing @everyone and @here has only stopped the notification from showing meanwhile the actual noise and briefly the badge go off even with DnD on. Is there any way I can fix this?
