Special Channel types

For example you can have a text channel which would function as a channel does now or an embedded HTML page for a website, this would function for non-administrators as a web browser that would be embedded into a channel, this embed site would not be leaveable unless external links that are built into it [aka no search bar] . These embedded pages could either be the web address to an existing website, or a page coded right on discord. this would allow for customization of rule pages, articles for blogs/communities built right into their relevant discords or even streamer or youtuber's channels built right into their discords. It would be a helpful tool in running a community and help grow it.

    Uber simple terms:

    its basically a website that is in place of a channel but falls under a channel tab and is just customizable html code for admins to make a page and possibly stylize it using css code or using an existing website

    I think this feature would easily be abused, and also, Discord isn’t a browser. Maybe you can unlock news channels though on like level 2 of server boosting that gives you news channels that allow you to send embeds and publish news to your server members though (and the same would happen for verified servers/game servers).

    I don't really see how this could be abused, discord tos would still apply to these channels and you if the content was nsfw would still need to be flagged, in they could even add a report button at the top of the discord located inplace of the channel description. also a built in adblocker would disable any monetization of these channels via google ads, unless discord deems this okay or it could be optional, i think if this was ever implemented discord would think about these things an deal with issues of abuse.

    I would love this, as it would allow many new functions on discord.
    And also another channel type maybe, like a gallery channel where its just a grid of images with captions.

    I'd love to see reddit style upvote channels with tagging. So anything that goes in that channel can be up or downvoted.

    I'd like to see document channels where you can edit a document together in a single channel without leaving discord. I bet that would get a lot more interaction than linking a google doc.

    Nathan Young both of your ideas are Very good as well. You can somewhat have a reddit style channel with bots, but youd have to leave the channel to use the tags.

    Another great thing would be a 2d plane clipboard where members can leave files and messages, or draw.
