Pop-up messages for when you join a channel
A little pop-up in the chat window that admins/people with a certain role can create and users see when they join a channel.
It's basically channel only announcements which you will see once you enter the channel.
Basically, like a 'news' notification feature.
I can see a lot of various uses for that.
Maybe it's an art sharing channel: "Please always remember to add the source or the artist"
It could announce small things without needing to actively disturb people via @everyone or @here: "Check out our new video", "We added a new emote" etc. You click the x and the notif is gone. Done.
Pins can be nice for general information, but they're just way too optional for direct communication with users.
People have to actually click the icon before knowing what's up.

Like "Remember, this channel is primarily for pictures/screenshots only. Limit chatting to no more than one sentence"

I'm mega late to the party but god I would love something like this! I could see so many uses that would be way more helpful then just pinned messages.
Such as with channels where you would want to say "hey! This channel includes: *text*" or for bot channels it could be a popup of the basic commands and uses. It'd also be a nice alternative for nsfw channels where they arent for nsfw content just the language use or topics may be sensitive for some. Ie religion or politics, debate discussion, etc.

Second this - I run in a gaming raid with up to 50-60 people in channel. Some voice channels on our server are laid back and no rules, however others are push to talk and constrained to certain kinds of communications. It would be great if we could set a pop-up upon entering a voice channel with the "channel-rules" and requiring agreement before entry - like the server rules pop-ups, but just for specific voice channels.
