Discord Canary for linux does not restart after update

After using the update button in the top right of the menu, the discord client does not restart itself.

Note that I am not referring to an update which requires downloading either a .deb or .tar.gz package.

Having to manually start discord is slightly annoying, and it being able to restart itself would be a nice ease-of-use feature.
