Nitro Boost - Because apparently my other post got deleted.
Reposting because *somehow* my other post got deleted. Hmm.
I just cancelled my Nitro subscription because I discovered that I can't add a boost the same server every month. This information was lacking from the guide (and has only recently been updated to be clearer) when I originally signed up. I don't mind waiting 30 days to do it each month, but my server is small and I'm the only nitro user, so I will never even get to tier 2 by myself. The only reason I subbed in the first place was to support Discord and get perks for my friends, but if I'm throwing down money every month but only get a single boost for all of that time, then this service is worthless to me. The games aren't even close to worth it. Let me know if it changes to a monthly boost and I will resubscribe.

Each nitro subscriber gets a single boost. Just because you have nitro for a 2nd month doesn't mean you get a SECOND boost. You have ONE boost. Thats how it works 0 -
Also to this point "but my server is small and I'm the only nitro user, so I will never even get to tier 2 by myself." That is kinda the point. These things are still perks that have to be earned to a degree. One person shouldnt be able to boost a server to level two and quite frankly I dont know why you expected that. 0 -
Because when I signed up the text describing the service indicated that I could boost every month. Only later was it revised to more clearly state that you could move it every month. I am merely pointing out that as it stands the service is useless to me, and probably a great number of other people who thought the same way. 30 days in between boosts for a single server does not seem unreasonable to me, especially if they are still collecting money from me every 30 days. Making me out to be crazy because I got a reasonable idea from poorly worded descriptions is a pretty poor argument from you.

I do not think it is a reasonable idea. I don't think that you should be able to get an additional boost every single month. That's 12 boosts a year. It would make the entire system pointless, because it would be too easy to get all of the perks they might as well just remove the system altogether and just give them by default at that point. 0 -
Well that's your opinion, and frankly feels a little confrontational for no reason.
All I'm saying is that based on the wording in the original description of the service, I drew a very objectively reasonable conclusion. Whether you think the base idea was reasonable or not, the wording was ambiguous at best and very heavily indicated a monthly boost.
When I discovered that this was not the case, I cancelled my service and posted about the reason. You then went on to ignore every point I made in the original post in some sort of vendetta to make it look like I'm an idiot. I can assure you I am not, but the ways that you are arguing makes you seem pretty petulant

So, a couple things.
1) It is my opinion, I never said it wasn't
2) Just because I disagree with your idea doesn't mean its confrontational or insulting. I also never insinuated that you were an idiot, as you claim.
3) I'm not even arguing with you, I'm just explaining my point of view on the subject. I do not think your idea is a good one. The entire purpose of this comment board is to give your opinion on different ideas. I do not like this one. It isnt anything against you, its against your idea. I'd prefer it if you didn't make it about you, when I'm trying to discuss your idea.

I agree sounded like 1 boost a month when I sighed up which should be plenty of cash rolling in for them while my small server builds up lvls. As it stands I'm not gona try and get others to pay for my servers small perks I'll just cancel when it expires simply just isn't worth It. If they had at least made lvl 1, 1 boost might have been something but as it stands small servers which there are a hell of alot of are going to find nitro useless.
