Discord Embeds, Use WEBMs as if they're GIFs

Basically I would like the ability to use a WEBM as if it was a GIF such as auto-playing and set whether a WEBM should loop once or infinitely

The reason I'm asking is because the GIF limitation of a 256 colour palette is annoyance and discord still doesn't have support for APNG to get around this limitation...

Here's a example of what I mean, both images are 480x270. The GIF is 1.2 MB and the APNG is 5.4 MB

Now here's the same thing but a WEBM that's 1280x720 (2.6~ times the resolution) and only 949.8 kB (nearly 3/4 of the size of the GIF) with no colour degradation

and here's a version of the WEBM that's 480x270 like the pictures but it's file size is only 262.6 kB and still far superior than the GIF

I have a bot (https://discordbots.org/bot/580530774692986892) that depends on GIFs and I would like to deliver the best experience for it's users so, using WEMBs like GIFs would be a wonderful benefit and save a lot of bandwidth and disk space!

    The Discord client already has an option to Automatically play GIFs when Discord is focused. I would like to see a toggle option to autoplay loop WEBMs that do not contain audio tracks in the same manner.

    This would be awesome, I have animations that need partially transparent pixels to look good, which isn't supported by GIF. The animations look great in webm in other programs, but don't display properly and don't loop in discord.

    WEBMs also don't show up on mobile in discord's camera roll; I have to view them in my gallery, hit share, then choose the server to send it to, and then I can post them. I'm crossing my fingers for full support in the future!

    I have made a similar post regarding the use of .webm for nitro avatars and banners.  you have my upvote on this as well sir.  support all .webm feedback and lets get noticed.
