Pause/resume calls

This may not be a mobile specific issue, but I think pausing calls could help with certain problems that I (and others may) have had. The issue I have ran into is the inability to change some of my phone's volume/notification settings while in a call. A simple pause and resume could potentially fix this. I'm sure there are other benifits to this simple feature as well.
