When being active on many servers of many games, I come to have many friends with sometimes cryptic names and I may loose the overview because the current friendlist is unsorted and ungrouped.

So my first request would be to be able to attach Tags or Labels to Friends to make them appear in multiple Groups or Rings.

My second request would be to be able to add a Comment to each Friend.

    e.g.
    Group Star Citizen
Billy (Comment: Best Dogfighter in the Team)
    Joe
Jane (Comment: I owe her some credits)

    Group Minecraft
Billy (Comment: was offline for too long probably playing SC more)
    Joe
    Ralf

@StarshipCaptainNemo above: There are already "notes" that you can add to users, but I agree that it would be nice to have them more visible.

In terms of custom "groups" for the friends list, please. I need this in my life. I'd like to start using Discord more primarily to communicate with friends and reduce my reliance on Facebook's Messenger, but being able to categorize how I know people is going to be critical to recognize them when everybody has a custom handle instead of their real name.

anyone who uses discord for more than one thing is inevitably going to have cliques of friends from different servers, etc. i have friends for rust programming, for lua programming, for game design, and for among us. i'll probably get more as i go. but right now i cant find my lua guy and im in a bit of a pinch lol.

Yes please, I love Discord because it's so useful, organized, practical, cool, fast and clean. Making be possible to organize the friends list and DMs list would make it just perfect--
