Advanced pinging

My suggestion is the ability to do an advanced ping. For example:

@ Has: Role1 & Role2, does not have: Role4

There have been several occasions when I have wanted something like this. Would anyone else find this useful too?

    I decided to make a bot for this

     

    The command is p!ping +[role name] -[role name] If a role has a + in front of it, it means that in order to be pinged, the user requires this role. If a role has a - in front of it, it means that in order to be pinged, the user must not have this role.

    You can have as many flags as you like. In order to do this, the bot creates a new role and gives it to all users that fit the requirement. It will be called PingPlus-0 or similar. The bot then pings the role, and after 15 seconds the role and message is deleted. This means that no message is highlighted, but people still get a push notification and a red circle notification on the channel.

    The bot is running on my raspberry pi which is currently running 3 bots in total, so it's not very fast, but it gets the job done. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a auth link here, so DM me and I'll give it to you. 230Daniel#1920
