Discord mobile changing video format

Whenever I upload an MP4 it changes it to a .mov (which is not supported), it's an MP4 on my phone, it has sound and works but when my friend tried to play the video ok desktop it does not work, after downloading the video it seems to have become a .mov I can play the video in discord on my phone but there is no sound, I thought it was an app changing it as I have to use external apps to upload videos, but I tried without using them and also using different file apps to upload into discord but it nets the same result.
