There should be the possibility to create server messages.
These would be messages where the sender would not be a user, but the server itself.
For this, there would be a new permission: "Create and Edit Server Messages".
Having this permission would allow the user to send a message not as their own, but as a server message (with a toggle or a button).
These server messages can then be edited by anyone who has that same permission.
This would be especially useful in "Welcome" or "Rules" channels. On a server I'm managing, I created the welcome message, but if another Admin wanted to have it changed, they'd either have to ask me to edit it or delete and resend the messages, both options being rather annoying and tedious.
With server messages, all Admins could simply edit the message.
That is a really cool idea.
Maybe change the Permission from "Create and Edit Server Messages" to a "Send Server Messages" and "Manage Server Messages".
And maybe even add a button/checkbox to this list which could allow/deny a user from editing that message (if the user has the "Manage Messages" permission ofcourse)2
This is brilliant. It is a must have!2

Im curious how people do it because seen it done in https://discord.gg/ps their rules are typed by a server instead of a user or bot0
They do exist, you need to be a verified server owner for that0
