Usually we need to show our own desktop when talking to our friends, or we need to take screenshots when telling people something so discord screenshot tool can be improved Some of the discord members don't know how to take screenshots and it upsets me;( I hope you add this plugin.

    ^ as they mentioned, use ShareX, it can use imgur, FTP, and a few other things for image upload

    Both Snipping Tool and ShareX are so absolutely 90's.

     

    Why doesn't Discord have a tool to easily share a screenshots or part of the screen? Basically snipping tool without having to use a 3rd party app and then drag/dropping to discord.

     

    Can't be hard to implement.

     

    If they could then do this with gifs to capture part of the screen for a time, I'd be happy.

    I see you've never programmed anything, because implementing anything new into an application isn't easy, for instance

    - how does it work across operating systems

    - how do people access it

    - and more none of us could imagine

    Taking captures of the screen would also require more permissions than they currently ask for, which could break old installs, and make people more uneasy as it's more things Discord has access to

    A dedicated screen capture tool is not necessary as there are many third-party ones. What would be great though is being able to _paste_ the captured image from the clipboard. This is a much faster workflow than save a screenshot to a file, open a file explorer, find the file, drag into Discord.

    Easy ! You press Printscreen and Windows and after you cut the photo !

    The suggestion is good but you can use another snipping software tool as well. As I use screenpixel as it helps me for screenshots and screen recording. Screenpixel will help you take a screenshot or record a video and share it with anyone. Select the whole screen or a specific area with the best screenshot app on Windows PC.
