Embeddable countdown timers in text channels!

With a simple Discord formating command add a countdown timer in the text chat.
"Event will start in countdown:12:30:00"
Event will start in 12:29:59... (And it's counting down)

    What to type is literally in the post above you. replace, unixtimestamphere with the unix time stamp of the date/time the countdown should end.

    So it does work, but its meh at best. 

    What i think everyone is talking about is having one that goes like this:

    Giveaway in 6 hours 15 minutes

    (person who reads the post 4 minutes later will see a countdown timer in the chat)

     

    It could also include @ mentions are the end of the timers to let everyone know. 

    There is a bot that edits messages every few seconds but it would be better with something as big as a gif that had a timer on it that didnt start and stop when you entered or left that channel.

    In a text channel on Discord I enter:

    <t:unixtimestamphere:R>

    and nothing happens except that text is spit out.

    So google “unixtimestamp” and get the timestamp you want, insert the numerical value and press enter

    So it isn't true replacement. but does do somewhat of a countdown.

    Im not sure on how often it uodates but it will say 6 hours 5 hours 2 hours then once in minutes it will in 30 minutes

    Once its over it will say 1 minute ago and keep repeating up

    I just want the ability to enter 5 minutes 21s into discord and have it countdown ala a stopwatch. I go to these sites and they are asking for countdowns from Jan 1 1970 and I try to enter say 347 and it enters as 743 then nothing is there. Dunno, I don't code and don't want to waste my time trying to spend hours figuring out what people cannot seem to use express english or links to expain.

    That is why people are asking for some simple timer feature, because it is useful and a half-decent coder could probably create one in less time than the average person takes to figure out how to bypass this limitation.

    You can use unixtimestamp[.]com and select when you want the "countdown" to end. Hit convert and copy the first sting of numbers. Go back to discord and type

    <t:[CTRL+V or number]:R>

    resulting in (for example)

    <t:1626463200:R>

    which displays as

    in 2 minutes

    Hit enter and the timestamp/"countdown" will appear, similarly to how an exposed spoiler displays.

    it currently only rounds the time, it's very imprecise by rounding it.

    Check out my website at discordtimestampgenerator.netlify.app where you can give it an amount of time for it to count down to, and it will automatically generate the <t:1641665208:R> thing :D

    Man.... It's painful to see the amount of people not reading beyond the inital post....
    The man is asking for a countdown that has more than one figure. The current limitation is it only shows the largest prefix of time available. When OP is asking for at least down to seconds.


    I hope u found a solution dude.

    If not i would offer the option to make your own bot. You will need a place to host it ofcourse. But it would be able to make an embed and then either update it or delete and repost every so and so.

    I want to do something like "Event will start in t minus <t:unixtimestamphere:dhms>" and it would appear like "Event will start in t minus 00:02:05:23" and would count down.

    Note: 'dhms' meaning 'day hour minute second'. Following this pattern, doing 'hms' would omit the 'day' part of the timestamp, doing 'ms' would omit the hour part, and doing 's' would display in seconds ("102031 seconds" and counting down).

    Furthermore, putting it in all caps (DHMS) would return "2 hours, 5 minutes, and 23 seconds".
