#RETURNTHEBADGE
I think it's no secret to anyone that the discord decided to remove the badge for bot developers.
I believe that the discord made the wrong decision and now I will tell you why i think so.
Before, when the badge was not yet there, people developed bots and everything was fine. And badge has appeared and there are many more people who want to develop bots.
Over time, scammers appeared who cheat the servers and easily get a badge, and now the time has come when the discord has removed this badge.
Already, every second developer is discussing this, and they are all unhappy with this update, and I am no exception.
Discord did not notify the developers in any way, he simply removed the badge.
Discord had 2 paths:
1) Start improving the anti-cheat system, limit the number of applications per month, etc.
2) Remove the icon and dismotivate everyone from making bots.
Discord chose the second path and is now receiving a lot of negativity in themself side.
How do I propose to solve this problem:
1) Move the deadline for receiving the badge to the 7th October.
2) Limit the applying of applications for verification, for example, 1000 applications per month.
3) Increase the minimum number of servers to 150.
Don't forget to vote.

Hi ITWolf,
Thanks for sharing your concerns. Sadly, Discord removed the badge as too many bad actors were using fake growth/fake servers to get the badge on their accounts, and maybe in the end sell them. The entire time, the verification system was not about the badge, and was about creating a safer Discord for bots. If you applied specifically for the badge, that is not the way to go.
Thanks,
Coding

I personally feel like they should have added some extra way of proving that the bot is worth of the badge and isn't just one that has been used to claim a badge. It would allow Discord to give those who actually deserve that badge if they can prove worthy of it.
