Is this Terms of Service violation?

So there is a something going around on Discord with adults and the owner of the server telling them that they have to verify their age is over 18 with something, like a license or a birth record, that has their birthday on it. 

 

If they say that it's okay to block anything out that they find uncomfortable with sending, but must leave the DoB in view, is that still okay?

 

And if they force them to, is that also still acceptable?

  Afaik that's totally authorized, discords do not have to be public and admins/moderators are allowed to ask for any proof to allow you to join.

  This is authorised, Discord servers do not have to be public tho.
