Replacing Screenshare with Live

So we have decided to remove screenshare in favor of dedicated game stream on servers. Why not just have it as a second option?

 

i personally just screenshare more than actually show gameplay along with a lot of other people so it just seems super inconvenient to have to make a call just to show people what you're doing on your desktop.

 

perfect example is a friend of mine streams himself coding and some of us will watch him do his thing, but since he can't do it on the server anymore it's became a hassle for him since he doesn't want to make a separate group/same group and call it over and over to just share his screen.

Just make a single button where you can click it and it shows screenshare/live.

    I couldn't agree more, my friends and I use screen share so that we can see each-others screens at the same time. This new feature does not allow us to do that in fact, one of my friends who is the only one with access to 'go live is prevented from seeing our screen share at all now.

    yea i have go live and can no longer see my friends screenshare

    ...what? What are any of you talking about? Go Live is for servers. You can still use screen share in DMs. You could never use screen share is servers without breaking Discord.

    If you had a test server you were able to do video chat and screen share through that already, go live is just a more limited version of that. And there are many times where my friends and I want to video chat in A sever.
