Hello! I'm the administrator of a Discord server and we decided to use unusual Unicode text (so-called "fancy fonts") for our channel names. Some of our members using Discord on their phones couldn't see the text properly; it showed up as boxes. This is despite their phone's operating systems supporting the characters in questions. To test this, I sent them a link to a website that used these characters and they could see them just fine in their web browser app. This problem doesn't just occur in the text channel names, but also in the regular text that people send. I therefore have to conclude that this is a problem with the Discord app specifically and I request that support for all OS-supported Unicode characters be included in the mobile Discord app.
The reason the title refers to old phones is because one of my friends with a newer phone can see them just fine. If that helps, all of the people that had this problem were using Android phones, although if I remember correctly, my friend could see them properly with both her Android and Apple phone.
