Locked out of my account cause phone verification
I play dank memer and was furiously DMing people, trying to seal trade deals, doing mod stuff in my server, etc., and all of a sudden I'm locked out of my account cause discord "detected suspicious activity." I get that, but when I filled out the discord support form, I got an email saying that the staff absolutely cannot bypass phone verification. Is my only option making a new account? I don't have a phone and don't need/can't afford one.

Same Here I got the same message pop up and I am locked out of my discord when I joined someone's discord for their buisness

this exact situation happened to me as well. I'm furious discord. just pissed. I just got a month's worth of Nitro and you're going to get me my money's worth.

I need access back to discord as fast as possible because I am a content creator and my fans depend on me for their entertainment and the gaming community I am apart of expects me to be there and be active

This happened to me to but I know how to unlock the account not using hacks 1. just put your phone number and the discord massage you on your phone and they send a code
2. Enter the code and boom your done your account is unlocked
3. Make sure you did not use your number before if you have use your number before you will get locked out
4. If you can't get unlock borrow your mom dad or your friends phone and try it remember delete the message if you are done on the phone you borrowed

i just got locked out i put my number in and it says invalid number whats going on with discord how to access my account again and can i even access my account again i already been messaging the support for discord but they have yet to solve my issue what to do now

It's happened to me too! I've been peacefully using the app talking to a friend (I was sharing some super-secret files with them) before I suddenly got booted with the reason that Discord detected some fishy stuff going on.

A little update for future users with this issue: Sorry I don't have better news.
More or less, it was a ton of back and forth and multiple tickets to get to absolutely no resolution at all. There's nothing they can do. Even when the new Switch Account feature which I hope will rely on ONE account and not MULTIPLE, but... You guys know how it is. Discord is great, but their Support team is ass and half of the time you're not sure if they're human or bots.
I ended up having to remove my number from my second account (which locked that account), put it back on my main account (which opened it back up immediately) and then having to ask a family member to use their number for my second account (which, opened it back up). Which is a hella embarrassing thing to have to do as an adult.
Hopefully they fix this shit soon, but after reading years and years of support tickets/requests with this situation and them still having not done ANY work except make it harder with introducing secondary account siwtches, I won't hold my breath.

Discord absolutely DOES NOT need to access your phone number for any reason. The only reason they are doing it is because, like any other corporation that demands a phone number, they make more money grouping your info with a phone number when they sell it. This change is ridiculous and people should not stand for it.
