Here's my example. The light theme should have contrast, and the colors of that discord uses

  It's better, but the text entry widget should be white (with a surrounding frame for contrast) rather than gray.

  Honestly so long as I can actually distinguish  the sidebars from the rest of the screen again I'd be happy.
