Option for Banned Members to See Ban Appeal Link
It would be very useful if instead of a banned member seeing an "invite invalid" message, that they could instead see a custom message such as "You appear to be banned from this server. But if you believe this was an error, or wish to make an appeal, please visit [LINK HERE]." where "link here" would be something like a Google Form.
For example, it could look like this:
-
And whats stops me from putting this link as a malicious link? -14 -
@Stephen
And why would you want to put a malicious link? That seems like a good way to get your server shutdown if Discord got wind of what you're doing. Surely that's against Discord's terms of service.
No, but let me answer your question with a question. What stops you from posting a malicious link in a server already?

I want that too because I want to go back on that server to like apologise

I wish this was true, We really do need a system like this. Legit got banned from wayneradioTVs server for saying IQ's exist. And I'd like to appeal about that.

"how do i look at people from my servers ban appeals"
Well, the example I gave was a Google Form, which, users would fill out a form to request an appeal, and a moderator could view the form entries and decide whether or not to accept an appeal.1 -
I haven't seen any ban appeal from slogoman's discord server.I kept searching but none.

This is a really great idea. Instead of reaching out to someone with a bot (which will probably fail 50% of the time due to a mutual servers issue), this would be a great alternative and would make it easier for banned users who actually want to appeal.

The best option is to not be banned from the start. Surely false bans exist, sadly, but most of the appeals have either not read the rules, tried to be banned or simply misbehaved for reason I don't know. The best way for a successful appeal is to get friends with people on the server and enter their dm's. If you get banned, you have your friends to help you out. If you didn't have friends yet, because you are new to the server and you think you were banned unfair, leave the server and stay cool. Servers with bad moderation always existed, just avoid them, then.

Yeah i highly recommend that discord adds an option to have a second chance to stay in the server because one mod didn't read my comment wich was lyrics of a meme then banned me permanently from it and tears showed up because i liked it being in the server please add this feature

I cant see the link its blurred out

@Chocon
It was an example image of what it could look like (minus the blurred address). Ideally, the admin would use a link that sends the user to a page that describes how they could create and submit an appeal.0 -
"...discord adds an option to have a second chance to stay in the server..." To be fair, it would be up to the server admin to add a custom ban message that would contain a useful appeal link. I just want to have the option to add an appeal option to a "you're banned" message.

I never realized how useful this can be, because l was one of the victims of the "Steam free nitro scam" which got me hacked resulting in a multitude of bans from different servers. Then l also realized that only a few servers or less than a few of the servers l got banned from are willing to give appeal while the majority is not. Take the Valorant official server for example they gave me a link to appeal my ban which l did (still working on the appeal tho).

Also to begin with you should be always aware of these types of scams/hacks, unlike me who has never seen/heard these types of hack before.

Several years ago I got banned from a Minecraft server--no idea what server it was--because I built something that a moderator thought was a lag-machine; not my intention. I was able to successfully appeal to that Minecraft server. The point being a moderator could potentially misinterpret a situation, and ban someone due to a miscommunication or so; not to be malicious or mean, but simply out of error.
Enabling your banned users the option to clear their name, apologize or admit fault could be beneficial. It's still up to the server admin or any moderators authorized by the admin to accept or reject appeals.
Personally, I keep documents of incidents that occur on my server, so I'd be in a better position to establish a connection of recurring problems with a particular user.
