Discord Streaming Google Chrome No Audio

I used to do movie nights on discord using the screenshare, and I tried to do a private screenshare but it does not work. Wondering how I could actually fix any audio or is this just a bug. I have seen others struggling with the same thing on a youtube video. Wondering if Discord could add in there own kind of movie night system, just implement it into the streaming device or allow streaming to work with browsers.

    It is not fixed at all. None of the proposed fixes worked to have audio play from Google Chrome

    aaand the problem is back, they switched it back to no sound again for google chrome

    The way to solve this problem is reinstalling discord, but after deleting some "hidden" discord files. And this file location, is not deleted and permanently attach itself to repeating the same mistake since it doesn't get removed when uninstalling.

    instructions: 

    step1:

    DELETE discord completely

    Step2: 

    Delete the following pathway to a folder location:
    C:\Users\Usdername\AppData\Roaming\Discord  (DELETE ALL OF IT.)
    C:\Users\Usdername\AppData\Local\Discord (DELETE ALL OF IT.)
    if it doesn't allow you to delete it make sure discord is off and perhaps restart to make sure it's completely deleted.

    step3:

    Reinstall Discord and try it!
    there is a chance it only works in dm calls, sometime it works in discord servers.

    i'm sad the staff didn't catch up to this problem.

    Just for the idea that it isn't allowed so that is why it is disabled I already contacted support and they had no explanation of such the support guy I talked to saw it as a bug too, he only mentioned the possibility of the websites themselves countering the streaming but that obviously isn't it since Opera still works for most people it has to be something that is in most of the browsers and discord not connecting

    it still sometimes does not work for me
    however, i've been able to fix it usually by both leaving the call and restarting chrome 

    also it will not show that it's transmitting audio from the screenshare (the green box around your icon) unless you're actively playing audio from chrome

    if it's actually just not working for you at all, then idk what to say

    i had been checking to see if this issue was fixed almost every day for like a month straight. i suppose i should've specified that it was fixed for me and not just say 'they fixed it'. sorry if that wording really upset you.

    Ladies and Gentlemen, i found the solution to it. 

    but... if i share it they might rig it too.. discord staff isn't exactly co-operative

    Everytime when someone join to watch my streaming in discord, my discord keeps restarting itself, disconnected and then there's a little annoying pop up in my stream it says "Hey, something went wrong and we couldn't stream the sound from your game" I'd try fix every single way and it didn't work, my friends can stream smooth perfectly but my stream can't?

    (Please fix this as fast as you can.)

    For mine, what I did is to make sure that I have an earphone or earbuds. Then on the 'Voice and Video' section on the settings, for my output, it would be the computer's speakers. So that it wouldn't clash with the sound coming out of my earbuds. Thus, I can still hear the sounds coming from my browsers.

    Hardware Acceleration.

    If you're using Google Chrome and you capture it and you arent getting video, or audio, or both gotta go into Chrome and turn off hardware Acceleration. So hit the little drop down and go to settings, then type hardware in the search bar and it will come up.

    Close Google Chrome open a fresh window and it should work. Its like night and day for me.

    I don't have an answer but I would like to just say me and my friends have been having the same problem for weeks. Only one of my friends audio worked but then he updated google started streaming again and it stopped working I contacted support and me and the person working support did literally everything we could think of, I don't know why or how it happened but it honestly sucks.

    it's just a bug

    they know about it and are working on it, but it's been a few weeks 

    they say you can use other browsers instead but i've tried edge, firefox, and opera and none of them work either

    If they allow the use to share an application window then I would think it is a bug.

    This is most likely a bug because me and one of my friends can't hear anything but when my other friend does it it works just fine

    Much like how not everyone had the problem to begin with it didn't fix for anyone and by him saying it worked for him and him having no reason to lie why would you say it isn't fixed like that's a fact it fixed for some read the patch notes it fixed for me and they will work on fixing for others because obviously this in an issue.

    If it’s not working for some people, then it is by definition not fixed. An irregularly encountered glitch is still a glitch. Also, please use punctuation.

    The discord staff claimed to have fixed it with the update. I’m here so they know it hasn’t really been fixed.

    yep, still having issues trying to watch netflix with friends. sounds working only 1 out of 10 times

    i too am having this problem, but its not for streaming movies. Browser games is what i like to show to friends for fun and thats affected as well.

    I might be a little late but say you're trying to watch Netflix on Chrome. If you pop the tab out so that it's separate from other tabs it should work. It does for me atleast.

    Ah hell with it, if they will do something i wil just go back to skype if ever.

    Skarrum, let me guess.. only on browser it doesn't seem to work AND reinstalling doesn't work either.. correct? 
    (aside all the typical check volume etc.)
