I did not know where to post this and I'm not sure if this is something that anyone at Discord is taking notice of or understands, if so then good on you and I hope if anyone reads this that you are going to do something relating to what I'm talking about. In the few multiplayer gaming communities I take place in, the sub communities or clans/guilds within the overall game that once not too long ago would've turned to a free, or even paid, forum hosting service, now use Discord instead.
This might seem like an obvious statement to some. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty out there that still use forums, such as this one, but Discord needs to start treating each server as it's own 'Forum'. In many ways, it already does. There needs to be more functions than there are now that would be available on traditional forum hosting services. Your are combining a TeamSpeak with a Forum and it's genius but users need more customization. Things like
Overall server theme customization, colors of the backgrounds, text box, all of it. Even FREE versions but you can make money through it as well.
Stop forcing lowercase text in the text channel titles with -'s instead of spaces.
Add message box functionality similar to what's on this forum - being able to center align and hyperlink etc.
Allow the upload of Role images that take the place underneath avatars when you hover over a user.
Allow coloring channel titles and even bold/italic/underline
I could keep going but I don't know if anyone really reads this or this is something the developers are already aware of. I hope the general idea of being the new generation of forum service is understood on your end and that you take full advantage of it. There is so much you can do with this platform. Give the users a bit more customization and function. Thanks!
