Detach post as off-topic by a moderator

If multiple persons makes an off-topic thread, a moderator should be able to select those boxes using a check box interface, and move to a detached thread that does not belong to any channel. Those detached chats would appear just below the channel that was originally posted to with a title "Detached chat from #CHANNELNAME at DATETIME", and should only visible by the server owner, the person that detached the thread, and the posters that made those posts. A similar facility is present in Hacker News (example: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16492994).

    There reason that messages can't be edited or moved by moderators is because that would allow mods to abuse this and frame users for posting things that they didn't, or in a channel that they didn't.

    Zipdox You misunderstood me. In my proposal, you will only be allowed detach a post or group or posts in one take and each detachment will create its own detached channel that cannot be replied further. You will still not be able to move posts arbitrarily.
