Pictures taken with my phone camera won't upload

Discord mobile on Android (latest version of app, Pixel 2 XL, Android version 10) refuses to upload any v pictures I take with my phone camera. No other types of images are affected. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as messing with lots of my camera settings. It's really annoying to have to screenshot my photos to send them in chat.

    Having this issue. Android 11 pixel 4a close app am able to share photos once then it breaks and won't load into app. Doesn't go to share screen just opens the previous page. Reinstalling and issue persists

    I've got Motorola Z4 and discord treats my pictures taken through the app as broken files that can't send.

    Ok I have a Samsung Galaxy a20 I use but it won't let me take a picture or upload its saying download image to see pictures when can discord fix this

    Ive seen this problem been reported so many times like there are even comments from almost a year ago plz fix. Or just get rid of the option. Just do somwthing about it.

    Galaxy S21 Ultra here and having this issue. I even compressed mine and they still aren't loading. This is ridiculous, how are we supposed to share a basic function of a phone when it doesn't work? Discord isn't even offering a reason behind this or acknowledging this. I'd be reamed at my job if an issue like this went ignored for a year...

    HI i think i finally solved this problem. when you save videos from your camera, it saves them in HVEC format. go to the video, then go to the editor and in the top right it shows the resolution. theres a check box that says something along the lines of "save in hvec format to save space" i turned it off, and it works now :)

    I have the same problem, i have a S22 ultra and am having this exact issue i can send screen pic and pictures downloaded but if its come from my phone camera i just get the little poop emoji image. what the actual fuck i didn't have this issue with my note 10+ so why is it an issue now. and further more a friend of mine with the exact same phone ( the S22 ultra) can send photos fine, why is mine different

    Surprise, surprise, same issue with the S23 Ultra's 200 megapixel photos. The 50mp photos work just fine. This is bs.
