Dark theme cannot see text font on sidebar in channel lists

On the dark theme for the Android app it's really hard to see the names of the room lists on the side menu.
I tried to change to light theme and it didn't affect the side menu that always stays dark. Is there any way to adjust it? So hard to read any of the text as its dark grey on black
