Discord Nitro gif avatar doesn't move at all, just has the starting frame

I recently got discord nitro and the gif I want as my avatar doesn't move at all, not even if I hover over it. Is there something wrong with the gif file or is it a common bug? How can I fix this?

  I had the same issue when I had nitro, i'm not sure whats up with discord
