App URL Support

Plenty of apps (including the one I'm currently developing) support "app urls". Something you can register on windows to open up an app and pass it some arguments so that you can directly link into it's internals.

You could also then support app urls for your own servers & channels, something like this:
discord://s=760664510624825326&c=760664510624825358

Bottom line, since my friends and I use discord (over say Slack, which does support app url), and I organize and coordinate with my friends by sending links, if those links worked.

Took all of 5 minutes to set it up in my app, it's just a registry setting. Please consider it!
