discord will not boot up after update(downloaded)
after the recent update to discord today (Sep. 10th, 2020) i have this error where i boot to windows, open discord, then when i close it and go to open it back up it does the loading but never loads into discord, and some times i'll even see a message saying a fatal javascript error occurred, i have tried deleting all files and reinstalling it, hasn't fixed it, all my drivers are updated and windows is on latest version, how am i supposed to fix this?

ive somewhat been able to fix this problem by killing discord in task manager and starting it up(like normal) again
problem is every time you turn on your pc/close discord you gotta do it0 -
Since the update yesterday, if I close Discord with the 'X', I then cannot reopen it from the taskbar or start menu. It can however be reopened from the icon tray.
If I kill the process in task manager (or by right-clicking the icon tray icon), it can be then re-opened from taskbar or start menu.
I have tried a full uninstall (including removing app data) and reinstall with reboots after each step.

Windows 10 64-Bit (10.0.18363)Edit: It appears to have been fixed. Thanks dev team.

I did a reinstall, and after closing it for a bit I tried to open it back up, but it just didn't. I killed the Discord task in the task manager, and I was able to run it again. I'd refer turning off the "Minimize To Tray" in options. It'll save you the task of opening the task manager and killing the Discord task each time you want to run it again. It's only a temporary solution though.

I am also facing the same issue, and I also uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I figured out the task manager fix after a while, but I hope it gets fixed, 'cause I dont want to have to do that every time

has discord reached out about the situation yet?

Discord responded to my request about the situation, they told me that it has been informed to engineering staff and will be fixed soon. They said for now to try reinstalling or using the browser version.
